Healthcare Center at Lightfoot

The Health Center at Lightfoot recently relocated into an expansive, brand-new building at Lightfoot Marketplace, Williamsburg’s newest shopping center. This new medical office required space for a fitness center, physical therapy and urgent care services. Additional amenities include several exam rooms, an X-Ray room and a pitching lane for sports rehabilitation. The facility offers a range of specialized pediatric care including cardiology, nephrology (kidney and urinary care), pediatric and adolescent gynecology, urology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and sports medicine physical therapy. CHKD was established in 1961 by The King’s Daughters and is still Virginia’s only freestanding, full-service pediatric hospital, providing comprehensive care to children from birth through age 21.

CHKD serves southeastern Virginia, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina – a service area with approximately 500,000 children – and also treats children from across the United States and around the world. The hospital, whose main facility is in Norfolk,
VA, has 12 other health centers around Hampton Roads including its newest facility at Lightfoot Marketplace in Williamsburg.
