L.e. Smoot Memorial Library

The L. E. Smoot Memorial Library provides informational, recreational and educational materials and programs to the citizens of King George County. The Library was built in 1969 by Ann Hopewell Smoot in memory of her late husband, Lewis Egerton Smoot.

The scope of work for this project included the renovation of the existing library building, which was at the time approximately 10,500 square feet in size, as well as the construction of a new addition to the existing library of approximately 17,800 square feet. The project also included, but was not limited to, general site work and landscaping, sediment and erosion control, storm water management, below grade utilities, paving, and site furnishings, electronic safety and security work.
