This state-of-the-art facility was designed to enhance the lives of the animals it houses, the workers and volunteers that service them, and the visiting public. Adoption friendly spaces, a learning center, animal run areas, and a veterinary clinic with surgery suite are all housed within this building, located in the oceanfront resort city. The building was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, hence rainwater harvesting, solar panels, and a geothermal HVAC system were incorporated.
